OoND is a personal project to explore and stretch creative photographic borders. The original idea was to use a weird lens to take photographs of objects normally not pictured. Objects of Non-Desire. I’m not sure if the project will definitely develop in this direction though, I leave its path open to the results. I found already that this type of photography is suitable for other, more regular subjects as well.
Oond pointed out to be an old-Dutch (and South-African) word for ‘oven’ or furnace, a place where something is cooking, or brewed. In 1756 the Latin word for it, Fornax, was given by French astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille to a southern sky constellation.
